Grinders are small, portable items used to break up tobacco for consumption.
Simple grinders are “1-stage”, and contain only 1 chamber with grinding teeth. “2-stage” grinders have a second chamber that the tobacco drops into for storage. And “3-stage” grinders have a third chamber that catches the fine powder and minimizes waste.
By far, 3 stage grinders are preferred by consumers and are the most functional (like this one).
Grinders can be made of plastic, zinc, or aluminum; plastic should be avoided as the teeth break easily. Zinc can do in a pinch, but aluminum is far superior with durability and shelf appeal.
